On Monday, 10/27/08, Andrew Oliver Perry arrived at 11:48 a.m. by C-section. He weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz and measured 20 1/2 inches. Chris & Becky went to the hospital and took a few pictures last night. They said Andrew has a very light complextion, big hands, and long feet. In just 2 1/2 years this generation has grown to 7. It took our generation 7 years to get 7 grandchildren.

Babies galore!!

On Saturday, 10/18, all the Tigri sons/wives and grandchildren gathered for our first dinner. Cheyenne and Haylee met for the first time. What a surprise to find out they have the same interests - eating, sleeping, and pooping. They both did very well after being handed around all afternoon, and even Tyler got into the act after dinner - although he was not in a picture-taking mood. Even though he was not the center of attention, he still got Noni to read his books to him and Uncle Matt, Uncle Eric and Nono to take him out into the backyard several times.
The fleet in S.F.

Every columbus Day holiday, Nono Al took one or more of the boys to Fleet Week festivities. This year, Nono Bob took Tyler and Haylee (although she could have cared less). They didn't have time to wait to get on tours on the ships, but Tyler got to see the big ships from afar. They went on Monday, 10/13 to miss the big crowds.

Tyler/Cheyenne/Haylee
Sunday, we went over to Chris & Becky's and got there just in time for Tyler to wake up from his nap. He had to put his new Superman pajamas on (with the attached cape). He has been very attached to Daddy lately, but did take some time to hold "Baby Haylee".Friday, October 10, 2008
Haylee's 2nd weigh-in
Haylee returned to the doctor's to get weighed on Thursday. She had gained 2.8 oz., so she is just under 7lbs 5 oz. She will go back next week and they are hoping she gains an ounce/day until then. She is nursing and then getting a bottle if she is still hungry. And last night, she slept from 1:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m.
Today Chris, Becky, Tyler, and Haylee had their first pictures taken together. It was quite an ordeal for Tyler who is teething and was not feeling well.

Haylee's 1st visit

On Tuesday, Haylee had a 2 day weigh-in, so Chris & Becky came over for lunch, left Tyler with us for a while and took Haylee to her appt. She had lost 2 more ounces and is now 7lbs. 2 oz. She has to go back on Thursday for another weigh-in. Just before they left, Tyler asked if he could hold "Baby Haylee", so Becky put her on his arms amd you could hear him whisper to his sister, "It's alright, baby Haylee" a few times. It was adorable. I guess he has heard everyone else say that to Haylee. She basically slept the whole afternoon, but then woke up for the night shift. Needless to say, they are not getting much sleep.

Haylee comes home
On Sunday afternoon, Haylee and Mommy came home from the hospital. Since they were both doing and feeling okay, the doctor let them leave. Tyler was very happy to see Mommy and Daddy at home again. (Since our camera wouldn't work, we didn't get any pictures of the occasion.) Tyler was very excited to hold his new "baby Haylee" and we can take pictures tomorrow when they come to visit and Haylee goes for her 2-day weigh-in. She had a late night Sunday night and didn't get to sleep until 4:00 a.m. but then slept until 10:00 a.m. this morning. Will definitely have pictures on Tuesday - Bob found the problem after much "talking" to himself and the camera.

Our newest little angel
Haylee Jaimes Tigri was born this morning at 10:06 a.m. and weighed in at 7 lbs. 11 oz. (the exact same weight as her father at birth). She has already had many visitors. Tyler thinks she is "bery wittle". She was wide awake for a good portion of the day, looking all around with dark colored eyes, and dark hair. Looks a little like her Daddy at this moment in time.

Uncle Matt and Auntie Sarah came down just to meet and hold the newest member of the family.

Even though Cheyenne was not allowed to come in and meet her new cousin, she was very excited that she has a new playmate, as you can tell from the picture below. She never woke up the entire time she was in the waiting room. I think the baby outside the hospital room may have been smaller than the baby inside the hospital room. We will find out on Monday when Cheyenne has her next Dr. appt.

On Saturday, we celebrated David & Kathy's 25th Anniversary party at Juliane' & Bob's house. Tyler had a fun time walking around all the adults and talking with his favorite playmate, Uncle Eric.

Then on Tuesday, Bob & I took a trip to Vacaville to see Cheyenne (and Mom & Dad, too). She is staying awake a lot more now and eating like crazy. But when she is asleep, she is out for the count, at least when we were there. After a night of not sleeping much on Monday, Matt & Sarah were hoping for a few good hours of sleep on Tuesday night. Maybe we tired her out a little. We had a great time and even got a few smiles.
