On Saturday morning, we picked up Tyler & Haylee so Becky could have a mostly free day to prepare for Tyler's birthday party. Matt & Sarah came in the afternoon nad everyone stayed for dinner. The girls got a little one-on-one time with each other while Tyler ran around playing with his toys.
Cheyenne with her first "ponytail"??

On Monday, we were all at the park in Newark for Tyler's 3rd birthday party. Here he is getting ready to try to hit his Diego "pianta"(?). It was finally warm after being frigid on Saturday and especially Sunday.

The Diego cake must have been delicious because there was none left.

They're BA-ACK

Just when we almost forgot about kidney stones, they are back. Bob woke up on Tuesday with a sore back and by 11:00 a.m., he knew by the telltale signs that he was in for a trip to the hospital. I got him to Peninsula by noon and he sat there for 2 hours waiting to be seen. (They would have taken him in immediately, but the pain this time seemd to be manageable.) I left to run some errands and went back to work, and he called me to pick him up about 3:00, we went to get some pain pills at Longs and came home. Around 6:00 p.m., the pain hit him and for about 3 hours, he was miserable. Then it seemed to calm down and he hasn't had to take a pill since 2 a.m. this morning. At least he went for almost 2 years since the last incident. Never a dull moment....

Vacaville pictures

Finally, my week in pictures...
Visiting Sarah in the hospital...

Talking it over with Cheyenne....

Learning new computer applications...

First time in the pool - the suit was a little revealing and off-the-shoulder so we tried a bigger size the next day.

The 2 newest swim babies...

Going for a walk with Mommy around the block...

A beautiful bouquet from Sarah greeted me when I arrived home on Sunday.

Vacaville visit contiued

It's Friday and Matt & Sarah have left for the dr's office to have her staples taken out. Hopefully, she will be much more comfortable sleeping. Cheyenne is taking her morning nap. Tomorrow morning, we will take a stroll through the Farmer's Market in town and then off to Sacramento to Sarah and Johnathan's uncle's house for a bbq. Then Sunday, I am on my way home. As Matt said, I will probably go through "Cheyenne" withdrawal for a few days. It has been so much fun seeing that cute little smile almost every minute of the day. She puts her arms up when she wants to be picked up, which is quite often. She is such an easy baby which is good since I am not used to taking care of a baby 24/7. She is not crawling yet but gets her butt up in the air and turns around in circles. More later....

Live from Vacaville

Bob and I drove up here on Saturday and after lunch took a ride to the hospital with Matt & Cheyenne. Mommy was very happy to see her little girl even though she couldn't hold her. We got back to the house ad got ready to meet Richard, John, Megan, Madison, & Johnathann Jr at Mel's for dinner - all the while getting texts from Sarah about her new roommate. Came home and got a good night/s sleep in hte new bunkbed.

Sunday, Matt left for work at 7 a.m. so Cheyenne and & hung out all day at home. Johnathan picked up Sarah and brought her dirctly to her Dad's house where we were having a Mother's Day bbq. I even got to their house with Cheyenne all by myself. It was a delicious meal with the whole family - Matt got there just as we were sitting down to eat/

This morning, Matt and I did chores as Sarah rested. Matt left for work at 12:45 p.m. and Sarah and I took turns taking naps just like Cheyenne. Dinner is next.

More to come.....

Updates

Vacaville - Sarah had her surgery on Wednesday, 5/6 and all went well. She is holding her own as hopes to go home over the weekend - more info on Matt's blog. I will be up there on Saturday for the whole week.

Disneyland - Tyler (et al) are having a great time in the Magic Kingdom. He is too small to go on many of the rides but did get to ride on the Matterhorn. The whole time he kept saying "We have to get off now" but when they got off, he said "Let's go again!". He loved the "Nemo" submarine ride, and even the Monorail (although it broke on Thursday and they had to walk back to the hotel). He has seen Mickey and many of his friends but haven't gotten close enough for autographs. Friday, they have early passes to get in to go to the Toon Town "good morning" for all little kids. Saturday morning, they are having breakfast with Goofy, Chip & Dale... , so I'm sure he will get lots of autogtaphs for his book.

More to come..
